Meet Ashley!
Ashley Cassetta graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2020, receiving her BFA in Dance. She has been a freelance dancer based out of New York City since 2021. Her specializations are contemporary, modern and ballet. She has worked on multiple contracts with various 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organizations such as Tabula Rasa Dance Theater, Wolf & Swan LLC, Project iii, and AP Dance Inc.
She also holds ongoing Guest Artist positions with Connecticut Ballet and Graciano Projects. Because of her background in choreography, Ashley has a particular affinity for improvisation and collaboration. She finds exploring with other artists, and experimenting with her own physicality, the most rewarding part of a creative process.
Upon graduation she was casted in the re-staging of Dan Wagoner’s One Thing After Another at Florida State University, as well as Doug Varone’s 2019 DOVA Devices performance series at Gibney Studios, working with former Paul Taylor dancer Francisco Graciano. She grew up as a trainee with Connecticut Ballet studying under the tutelage of Balanchine prodigy, Brett Raphael.
Ashley Cassetta is also a Balanced Body Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor.
She specializes in body mechanics, and takes a particular interest in professional athletes, dancers, and clients with Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, and structural imbalances due to injury. She offers private sessions (in person and virtual) and is a Certified Pilates Instructor at East River Pilates. She is currently in the process of completing her certification in Neuro-Somatic Intelligence Coaching.
